A play-based, parent participation preschool.
Our mission is to nurture children and the parents who learn alongside them. Through a play-centered, co-op model, we connect families, build on their strengths, and grow a lasting community together.

❊ Testimonials
Loved by Students, Trusted by Parents.
“Lafayette Nursery School is more like a family than a preschool. The community of parents and kids extends well beyond the school grounds. Dinners, birthdays, holidays and vacations - we spend them all with members of our LNS family. We feel blessed to be part of such a great group of people and a preschool with such an incredible, long and distinguished history.”
— Nate Purpura, father of three LNS alumni
“
“..it is the teachers, and community that make the school great. We had an instant family in Lafayette! Being an educator, I also value the play-based program, and nurturing environment, that Lafayette Nursery School provides. We stayed for all three years of preschool, and adjusted schedules just so we could stay for our daughter's final year. It is a hidden gem.”
— Sabrina Soper, mother of an LNS alumni
“
“...Because the parents help run the school, the sense of community and support is very strong. I got more than a dozen meals delivered after the birth of my son and am happy to be returning the favor this year... I recommend LNS to anyone who wants to be involved in their child’s education and be connected to a wonderful extended family.”
— Mesrour, mother of three LNS alumni
